Tutoring at University of Glasgow 01/05/2012
I have been involved in various tutoring duties at the University of Glasgow. After my 1st year, I was involved in Peer Assisted Learning, where I helped students to learn Python in out-of-hours classes. I have been a tutor in Java Programming, Object Oriented Software Engineering and Algorithms & Data Structures, where I helped 2nd year students during labs and provided feedback on their assignments. I have been a demonstrator for Networked Systems. Interactive Systems and Database Systems, which involved helping to point 3rd year students in the right direction during labs. I also had the opportunity to tutor a blind astrophysics Ph.D. student who was working on a Java Swing sonification tool. Additionally, I have been an invigilator and scribe for various undergraduate exams. These have all been great experiences that have improved my communication skills.
