After completing my 4th year, I had been involved in various research projects and was keen to stay on for the M.Sci programme. However, I was also encouraged to apply for Ph.D. funding, and was offered an EPSRC Doctoral Training Account. I decided to take the opportunity, and graduated with a B.Sci. With DTA funding, I had a little freedom to choose a research group to work with. I joined the Dynamics and Interaction group, who were doing interesting research in novel interaction design. Prior to starting with this group, I did a short 4 week internship that allowed me to settle in. As a Ph.D. student I have been involved in societies, including learning to snowboard with GUSCC and going on trips with international students through ISOC. I also take part in research experiments, including my office mate's BCI experiment as pictured below :)
